Shockwave Therapy
Targeted acoustic waves that restart healing in tissue that has stalled. Especially useful for chronic problems that have not responded to anything else.

What Shockwave Therapy Is
A non invasive treatment that uses targeted acoustic waves to stimulate tissue repair in areas affected by injury, inflammation or chronic pain.
How It Helps
Shockwave increases blood flow, reduces inflammation and stimulates healing at the cellular level. It can also break down scar tissue and improve overall function. Rather than masking symptoms, it restarts the body's natural recovery process in tissue that has stopped progressing.
Conditions It Treats
- Plantar fasciitis
- Tendonitis
- Shoulder pain
- Knee and hip pain
- Muscle strains
- Joint related discomfort
What To Expect
Sessions are quick, typically 5 to 10 minutes, with little to no downtime. Most patients notice a 30% or greater improvement immediately after the first treatment, and keep building on that across the series. It is particularly worth considering for chronic issues that have not fully improved with other approaches. Call (540) 426-3066 to schedule.

“When I first started coming in to see Dr. Pasternack I had chronic back pain in the lower region. Anytime I was bent over for long periods of time my back would bother me for days. Now I can do a lot of low work and my back is 99 to 100% better. No pain. Thanks Dr. Pasternack!”
