Neuropathy Treatment

Nerve pain sneaks up on people. A little tingling at night, then numbness, then it is changing how you move through your own life.

What Neuropathy Pain Feels Like

People describe it differently, which is part of what makes it disorienting. For one person it is a persistent burning along the arch of the foot. For another it is electric shock sensations without warning, or a deep numbness that makes the floor feel oddly distant. Hypersensitivity is common too, where light touch is painful and bedsheets are unbearable at night.

There is no single neuropathy experience, which is exactly why generic treatment protocols tend to fall short.

Diabetic Neuropathy And Foot Pain

Diabetes related nerve damage is one of the most frequent underlying causes we see. Symptoms are usually progressive: intermittent tingling, then consistent numbness, then balance problems, muscle weakness, and eventually a reduced ability to feel injury. That last part is serious. When you cannot feel a blister or a pressure sore developing, small problems become large ones quickly.

Beyond Managing The Symptom

Many patients arrive having already been through the medication route. There is a place for that, but medication mostly addresses how the pain registers rather than why the nerve is struggling. For most people it becomes a ceiling: some relief, but not recovery.

Our approach focuses on what nerve tissue actually needs, which is improved circulation, reduced inflammation, better oxygenation, and therapies that support the body's own repair mechanisms. The goal is measurable functional improvement.

A Real Evaluation First

Neuropathy has many potential contributors including diabetes, autoimmune conditions, circulatory issues, spinal involvement, nutritional deficiency and medication side effects. Two people with identical symptoms may need very different approaches, so every patient gets a genuine clinical evaluation before a plan is built. Call (540) 426-3066 to schedule.

“I came to Apple Wellness Center with severe lower back and hip pain. It would take the better part of half the day to get my back loose enough to be able to bend over or squat down. After meeting with Dr. Pasternack and his staff they recommended a program of cold laser therapy, deep tissue massage, and chiropractic adjustments. Within the first 4 weeks of the program I can say I am back to 90% of myself. Don't live with the pain any longer.”

Neuropathy Treatment FAQs

Can neuropathy be reversed?

It depends on the cause and how long it has been present. Many patients see meaningful improvement in symptoms and function, particularly when treatment starts early.

Do you treat diabetic neuropathy?

Yes. It is one of the most common causes we see. Care is coordinated around your overall diabetes management rather than replacing it.

Is treatment painful?

No. The therapies used are non invasive and most patients find them comfortable.
